Well I've really neglected this blog!
Things have quieted down at the zoo - we are down to only 9 animals in the house, 7 ours and only 2 "guests".
I have available for adoption, a very chubby sweet beagle named Cindylou and a little black kitty named Akasha.
Cindylou (aka Sandi) is 8 years old. The people who owned her were "moving" (which is btw, the number one reason that pets are surrendered to shelters) and had owned her her whole life. If there is a hell I hope there is a special place there for people like that.
Anyway, both these wonderful pets are available for adoption. Akasha is a very sweet lap cat, and gets along with other kitties as long as she can be in charge.
Cindylou gets along with everything and everyone and is really the *perfect* dog (aside from the snoring!)
Lexi and Jamie have been bored and miss the dog park, which is currently closed (because of flooding and then freezing).

Well, it looks like Abby's home has fallen through. The lady has decided not to adopt her. She didn't even bother to tell me. I had to hear it from someone at the dog park who works where she works. Ugh.
Thankfully Abby doesn't know she's been rejected. She is cuddling with her little buddy Andy on the couch.

Abby will be adopted soon! Kittens better!
Well, I have found a great home for Abby but she has not been adopted quite yet. The lady is waiting until she can get a couple of days off work in a row so she can help Abby get adjusted to her new home. She will have a new dog brother named Zander.
My 5 foster kittens are finally well after being sick for a couple of months. They are up for adoption if anyone wants a new little friend! All about my foster kittens

animals in zoo at present: 13
Argh. Okay, back to 4 dogs at the house now.
My former foster doggie, Andy, has come back to me.
Is anyone looking for a great energetic little dog?
He is a beagle/dachshund (a Deagle?) and you can
read more about him on Petfinder:
all about Andy.
My 5 foster kittens are still mysteriously ill (they were finally getting better but now one of them's throwing up). I am so tired =(

Introducing ... the Muttly Wonders! Lexi Lou and Jamie too.
This is my Lexi. She will be 5 years old next month. She was adopted from TCHS, June 2002. Nicknames: Lexi Lou, Lexi Woo, Louie, Ween, Weiner, Long Dog
Hobbies: Rolling in stinky stuff, eating stinky stuff, eating anything, amateur cat proctology, french kissing people who weren't expecting it.
This is Jamie aka James T. Kirk (because he loves the ladies) or monkeydog (see hobbies). He is 4 and a half and is not very bright. People tell me he's the funniest looking dog they've ever seen. He was adopted November 2002 from TCHS - because he was going to be put down the next day.
Hobbies: barking/growling at real or imaginary noises, chasing cats, running around in circles at the dog park while being chased by other doggies, spooning with mommy on the couch, climbing on stuff and eating bananas
My foster dog Abby is still looking for a home!
(Click on the sad face for more information)
Abby is a one and a half year old coonhound/german shepherd mix. Abby is already housetrained and spayed! She is a very gentle and loving girl. Look into those big brown eyes and see how warm and gentle they are. Abby is a calm well-behaved girl. She also gets along with other dogs and cats! Abby would prefer to go to a home with a fenced in yard.
Abby loves to go to the Dog Park and to play with her foster brother and sister.
